Spring TBR List

Spring is nature’s way of saying let’s partyyy!
Keep Calm and Love Spring!

And all you book nerds would agree that the party is incomplete without book discussion. Spring is such a happy time, the chirping of birds, glittering sunshine and of course the bubbling zeal to read more.

Here is my spring TBR list…

  • Finding Audrey (Sophie Kinsella)

I think all Sophie Kinsella books would make perfect spring reads. The undertones of blossoming romance and eternal happiness is what makes her books just what spring needs!

I have heard so many good things about this one and it has been on my wishlist since last year. Hoping to read it this spring.
  • The Ice Cream Girls (Dorothy Koomson)

Dorothy Koomson is my new Jodi Picoult. I’ve read two of her books – ‘My Best Friend’s Girl’ and ‘Marshmallows for Breakfast’ and both were amazing. ‘Marshmallows’ was a tad bit better!

Have high hopes from this one, fingers crossed.
  • The Little Flower Shop by the Sea (Ali McNamara)

The name spells it as a spring read. In spring there can be never enough romance! Adding to the rose colored expectations (I am sure all bookworms live in whimsy world) is this book which I am rather excited to read.

  • Say What You Will (Cammie McGovern)

I remember reading ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ in spring a couple of years ago. Ever since I try to read a few heart wrenching reads at this time of the year. The bright sky, happy vibes, and my over enthusiastic pet – Romeo somehow doesn’t let the book and the related sadness overpower. (Nerd Girl Problem 215)

  • To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before series (Jenny Han)

It is a 2 book series and is quite popular. My Instagram feed has been flooded and that’s how I know it is very popular. Since I am in the YA reading phase, these would be perfect reads for this vivacious weather.

  • Suicide Notes (Michael Thomas Ford)

Spring is also a great time to turn towards some dark humor. The upbeat spring vibe doesn’t let the book hangover stay for long.

Suicide Notes sounds so complex, and I think this would be a great time to decipher the complexities.
  • Journey Under the Midnight Sun (Keigo Higashino)

Just when you get too mushy and totally engulfed in the spring mood, let Japanese literature add some thrill. If you haven’t read Keigo’s work, I recommend you must. The thrill and mystery makes all his books page turners.

If you have read any of these or some of these babies are on your TBR lists, let me know. Also tell me what are you planning to read this spring!
