Weekending in Lansdowne

Hello lovelies!

I had visited Lansdowne in the beginning of January and have been planning this post ever since. But thanks to the roller-coaster of life, it somehow got delayed. So no more waiting, and let me take you to Lansdowne!
You have to know the darkness before you can appreciate light!
If you are looking for a pretty weekend getaway (especially from Delhi) up in the mountains, then let Lansdowne be it! The dainty destination does not disappoint you in any way.
It's better in the mountains!

Away from the concrete jungle you feel closer to yourself and strangely everything seems to fall in place. Like I always say, life looks happier in the mountains.

Relax, unwind, soak up some sun, sip beer, and contemplate life while admiring the myriad hues of the majestic Himalayas in the distance.
Get bundled around the bonfire and relish the delightful weather. And that feeling of enjoying tea in the mountains is unmatched.
For me this vacation was a tad bit more special – we took Romeo along! FYI Romeo is my pet Labrador and this was his first vacation.

It is heartbreaking to leave your pet back home while you enjoy a vacation. If you are a pet parent, I am sure you must be familiar with this feeling.

The top 3 things that you can do in Lansdowne are –
  • Boating at Bhulla Tal
When in mountains, you must plan a picnic…
Trust me when I say that Bhulla Tal is the perfect picnic place. You can enjoy boating at the lake, take a stroll along the lake and then gorge upon yummy snacks. Wear comfortable walking shoes and be ready to paddle your way along.
Prettiness needs no filter!
Don’t forget to visit the magnificent St. John’s church and St. Mary’s church en route.
Wilderness also needs no filter!
  • Soak up the mountain sun
What’s the fun of being in the mountains if you don’t get swooned by the eucalyptus scent in the breeze and the bright shiny sunshine! Carry them back with you for some continued mountain love in the chaos of the city.
Baby! Let's get lost and find each other :)
PS – Don’t forget to pack your sunscreen when going to Lansdowne.
  • Admiring the mountains
Lansdowne is the perfect getaway place. There are places for sightseeing and a small market, but the laid back feel is the best part. It’s true that time passes by really slowly up there.
Look at that blue!
The fun of sitting in the balcony and watching life go by is unmatched. Spend time getting drunk, talk your heart out, listen to Owl City and you’ll see life isn’t that bad. Trail the tiny path and it might just lead you to the most splendid sunset.

And if you have your pet along, there can be nothing better in the world. All you need is love and doggieees!
That's Bullet! Cuddly and so so lovable...I miss youuu and the warm hugs :)
If you’ve been to Lansdowne, tell me your experience. Awaiting to hear from you all.
