Talking about GDP: Gratitude during Pandemic!
Hiii
It
feels surreal to be back at the writing desk and working on my blog. I always
thought that I’m best at expressing my feelings through writing and that’s why I
started this digital journey. But along the way motivation started dwindling
and life starts taking over.
It was during this pandemic that I realized how blessed and fortunate I was. Let’s keep aside the fact that work is low, but still, I wanted to get back to writing, so here I am. So the other day I was talking to a family member and keenly he asked ‘Beta what are you writing these days?’ I told him that my work is less, so he explained that don’t worry, this is the period to rest and focus.

Happiness is pouring my feelings in a post! |
Growth
during pandemic doesn’t mean – how much you’re working, how productive you are,
or what new skills you’ve learned. I’m glad to say that I’ve been working on
myself during this time and have understood Gratitude during Pandemic is what’s
helping me sail through this time.
I’ve been a freelancer for almost 8 years now and I understand the ups and downs. Working from home is something I’ve been doing pretty much my entire career, but now with this pandemic, the uncertainty is what’s making things a lot more difficult. I might not be getting a fat paycheck at the end of the month like a lot of my peers, but it’s not that bad. Some months I do get equivalent, while other months I am struggling to buy things on sale. This period has taught me to be grateful for even the smallest of things and of course experiences.

Bag full of sweet and sour memories! Source - favim.com |
It’s
true that I don’t have a Gucci or a Prada bag, but my Kanken bag pack is filled
with memories of past – ones with my dad, Romeo’s pictures, bills from my
favorite café, and of course a couple of books. Now I leave it on you to judge for
yourself which of these two do you want to call successful.
Success is not just the money you earn, it is how well-read you are, how you talk to people, how empathetic you are, and how well can you accept life. And I think in all these aspects I'm quite successful.

Sipping fursat ki chai and thanking heavens above! |
In the past 2 months, I have lost a couple of my projects. It does feel bad, especially when you are replaced by a shitty writer, but that’s a part of life. We need to understand and accept that it’s so easy to replace us. So why crib?? What’s yours will find your way and like I always say follow your heart, it’ll take you to the best destination.
