Skin Care Haul and Reviews

Hi everyone!
Thanks to the Nykaa and Amazon sales I indulged in a mini skincare haul. I have heard so many good things about most of these products so thought of trying them myself. Trials happened and now it is review time...
Of summers and roses!

  • FabIndia

FabIndia’s skin care products are always on fleek. This rose face and body scrub is a jar full of goodness.
Of roses and summers!
It is gel based so perfect for summers. The scrub does its job of removing the dead skin cells very well courtesy the coarse granules. They are abrasive yet not harsh on the skin. It is gentle enough to be used on the face, even if you have sensitive skin like mine. And the best thing, the scrub smells of heavenly roses. Use it once a week for deep cleansing and saying good bye to dull tired skin.

  • Himalaya Herbals

I am a huge fan of Himalaya products; in fact their neem face wash is my Holy Grail product. The good thing about Himalaya products is that they work very well on my skin and are quite affordable (I think their products work amazingly for everyone).
When you get the goodness of neem in a scrub, you cannot say no to it. I got the neem scrub and the neem face pack.
The scrub is cream based, very gentle and moisturizing. The granules are tiny, thus it isn’t harsh at all. You can use twice a week as well. It works amazingly to scrub the dirt and grime away and has a mild fragrance.

The face pack though is the star of the show. It’s great for summers, soaks up the oil and dirt like magic making your skin feel fresh and rejuvenated. The consistency is good – nether too thick nor too runny.

PS - On application of the face pack you get this tingly itchy feeling, which goes away in a couple of minutes. I recommend you do a patch test.

  • Patanjali

Off late I have read and heard so many good things about Patanjali skin care products, so I thought of giving them a try.
After going gaga over the aloe vera gel, I got these two new products – the apricot scrub and the multani mitti face pack.
Talking about the face pack first, the consistency is runny so be a little careful. It smells of sandalwood and roses. Multani mitti or fuller’s earth is great for summers. It deep cleanses your skin and you feel fresh. Don’t expect miraculous results!
The scrub has a pleasant fruity fragrance. The granules are tiny, but do their work effectively. Your skin definitely feels supple and soft.  Both these products are great value for money.

  • Aroma Magic

Blossom Kochhar’s Aroma Magic is so very popular. I got 2 products – grapefruit face wash and nourishing hand cream.
The face wash works very well for normal to oily skin. Perfect for summers, when you want instant freshness! You can feel the dirt and grime being sucked away from your skin. The lemony fragrance is a bonus. Doesn’t dry your skin and makes it squeaky clean.

You know that feeling, when you get a product with high hopes and it turns out to be a bummer. The same happened with this hand cream. It is very affordable, moisturizes pretty well and also gets absorbed nicely. But the overpowering floral fragrance is such a letdown, and the thing is that it isn’t a good flowery fragrance, it just hits your head which I personally don’t like.

  • Nykaa Nail Polish

Okay, I know nail polish is not skin care, but couldn't resist myself from including it in this haul.
Nykaa has totally nailed it with their stunning nail polish collection. Nudes, pop pastels, there is so much to choose from.
Lavender Buttercream and Love!
I have quite a few of them and totally love them. The color pay off is amazing, 2 coats and you get complete opaque finish. It’ll stay for about 4 – 5 days and then might just start chipping at the tips. Total value for money.

Currently crushing over 2 gorgeous shades – the nude shade is Lavender Buttercream and the dark one is Marsala Chai.
Romeo says Hiii!
If you have tried any of these products, share your reviews on them. See you soonishhh!!!
