August TBR

Hello lovelies!

July has just magically turned to August it seems. And it is again time to make the ambitious to-be read list. If you’re a booknerd you’ll know that making TBR lists is such a satisfying experience.
It gives me as much happiness as ‘account credited’ messages.

August, Be Good :)
Reading wise July was an okay month. I read 4 books and in August I plan to read 5, a mix of happy and serious stuff. Also this month it’ll mostly be paperback reading.

Here’s all that I plan to read this month.

This amazing weather adds to the fun of reading!

  • The Summer I Turned Pretty (Jenny Han)

I have the collection, its 3 books in 1 – The Summer I Turned Pretty, It’s Not Summer Without You, and We’ll Always Have Summer.
Super excited about this much loved and much talked about series. I’m already halfway through the first book and loving it.

What summer nights are made up of!
It has beaches, boys, heartbreaks, romance and a lot of sunshine, all that he heart craves.
It’s a casual breezy read, like chill and chai and this lovely bomb of a book.

  • Honor (Elif Shafak)

Written by the famed author of ‘The Forty Rules of Love’, Honor is a serious read. Well, that’s what Goodreads says.

It’s about love, honor killings, family relationships and promises a lot of emotions. All this set in the Turkish backdrop. Sounds interesting!!
There is an abundance of great reviews about this one, hoping I can be an addition to the long list.

Hoping this’ll be a pleasant shift from the series of YAs. Also if you’d like to know my top 5 YA books, they are here.

  • Cockroaches (Jo Nesbo)

This was a recommendation by a friend who happens to be a fellow booknerd (Cabbiieee! You know how much I love your recommendations).

Typical Jo Nesbo – Inspector Harry Hole takes you to Thailand to solve a murder mystery in this one. Hopes set high!

How hawwt is he?

Totally in love with Nesbo’s writing style. Full of mysteries, it keeps you on the edge till the last page. Page turners in a true sense.
You wait to know what happens next and he just comes up with an unexpected surprise. If you are looking for a thriller, pick up any of his work. Gruesome, chilling and totally on point.
What’s on your reading list for this month? And if you’ve read any of these, share your thoughts.

I’ll see you soon! Happy Reading.
