August Favorites

Hi lovelies!!

August was a happy - happy month.  Although a lot happened, but still there are only 3 monthly favorites that I have. So let’s talk about them first and then we can continue the chit-chat session.

Had some amaziinggg filter kaapi and forgot to take picture. Trust Pinterest to rescue.
  • Sugar Cosmetics Rose Dawson Lip Crayon

I am a big fan of the Sugar Cosmetic matte as hell lip crayons. Rose Dawson is the latest launch in the range and Amazon had free delivery and I was not even drunk and I don’t know how it landed in my cart!

Lipsticks have the superpower to woo you. Rose Dawson did that to me. Let’s take a minute to appreciate the super cool name [Slow Claps].
The color is a heavenly burnt dull rose. It’s an amalgamation of pink, peach and nude. Looks very natural and flattering.

Matte as hell, doesn’t dry your lips, doesn’t settle into lines, and survives through a meal. What else do you want?

  • Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil

The Body Shop doesn’t sponsor me to go all gaga over their products. They know how to spoil us. As soon as I enter the store, it seems there has been some spell cast on me.

This serum works as an overnight treatment, similar to the midnight or overnight recovery oil. It is very light, gets absorbed really soon and doesn’t leave any greasiness. Has a pleasant mild fragrance.

Add this to your night skincare routine and you'll love it.
The price is on the higher side, but it is an investment your skin will love.
I recommend you to ask for a sample the next time you buy something from the store to get an idea how well or not the product suits your skin.

There is a Vitamin E Day Cream as well in the range. So you can use the serum and the cream for a complete skincare regime. You can also read a mini TBS Haul  I did recently.

  • The Summer I Turned Pretty Series

Cannot find enough words to tell you how much I loved this series. It was on my August TBR and I am so happy to have finished it. Exponentially increases whimsy vibes and colors the world pink.

Weekends are for sushi! Other weekends are for Maggi and pajama and stay in bed all day!
Heartwarming and mushy in the right amount, the recipe for an adorbs YA book. The overflow of emotions, love, tussle between the main characters and generous sprinkling of romance makes it the perfect summer read.

Some of my other favorites

As I said earlier August was quite eventful and happy (touchwood). I met some great people (and doggies for work).

Met Sparkle, such a munchkin he is. Made morning meeting awesome!
Met my favorite bunch of friends, had sushi, shopped quite a bit, went to my happy place – Majnu ka Tila, and read lots of amazing books.

Suhsi Dreams!!
Cabbieee Reunion at Majnu ka Tila! And that's my favorite corner in the cafe.
Romeo's birthday made August all the more special. He has changed the meaning of life for our family and is still a 7 month old munchkin at heart.

Romeo is it 7 years or 7 months???

I also went to one of the cutest places in Delhi, will be talking about it in one of the future posts. So stay tuned.

I hope y’all have a happy and healthy month ahead. See you soon…
