Book Haul from Delhi Book Fair

Hi everyone!
Wishing you all a very happy and prosperous Ganesh Chaturthi! Hoping we all have a great festive time ahead.

There is no such thing as too many books!
I began the festive season with the best shopping – book shopping. The Delhi Book Fair 2016 was going on and I was there last week to raid it.
The excitement of being in your natural habitat, considering myself to be bookworm personified, is happiness at a new level.

इतनी ख़ुशी :)
Delhi Book Fair is indeed one of the favorite parts of summers for me. This time I went with 2 of my friends and we all had a great time. Thanks Aakriti for being the perfect book hunting partner and Shahzer for taking pretty pictures of us.

Treasure hunting and finding jewels is such a happy feeling. And it becomes happier when you get something from your to-read list. That feeling of seeing fellow booknerds, sifting through thousands of books – old and new laden with stories and memories, cannot be expressed in words. If you know what I am saying.

Look at those happy faces :)
I have a bag full of emotional, romantic and dreamy memories from book fairs. If you have a favorite author, or you want to read the work of a new author; the book fair is the place to be. Next time you hear about it, go and enjoy the mega event! Trust me when I say it’ll be totally worth.

So this year I got 12 books and they are –
  1. Pieces of You (Ella Harper)
  2. Insomnia (Stephen King)
  3. Good Husband Material (Trisha Ashley)
  4. Before I Die (Jenny Downham)
  5. Tell it to the Skies (Erica James)
  6. Plain Truth (Jodi Picolut)
  7. The MacGroger Brides Christmas Fairytales (Nora Roberts)
  8. The Chocolate Run (Dorothy Koomson)
  9. Every Time We Say Goodbye (Colette Caddle)
  10. The Year of the Rat (Clare Furniss)
  11. Perils at End House (Agatha Christie)
  12. The curious incident of the dog in the night-time (Mark Haddon)
That's one pretty stash!
Most excited about Good Husband Material and reading Stephen King for the first time. If you’ve read any of these, let me know what you think,  minus the spoilers.

Rest of 2016 looks sorted; especially when I say I am busy this weekend, you know what I am busy at.
Admiration and impatience galore!

See you soon.

  1. Oh, I've read The Curious Incident... and it's awesome! It's fresh and innovative and gets really emotional and it's weird cause the protagonist kind of reminds me of Holden Caulfield (Catcher in the rye) and so I love the book even more. Will look out for your review on Instagram when you've read it. Book fairs are seriously the best.

    1. I have mixed feelings for it. It is weird in a lot of places. And I need to read Catcher soon.
